DESCRIPTION
A long service record exists on these units in airline, in business jet, and in other unique commercial and military applications. These units incorporate a sensitive aneroid capsule which responds to changes in absolute pressure/altitude. When pressure decreases (altitude increases), the capsule expands. This movement is transferred to a snap-action switch, which actuates the device to which it is connected. When pressure increases (altitude decreases), the capsule contracts, and the unit resets.

ON DECREASING ALTITUDE, CIRCUIT BETWEEN PINS A AND C SHALL OPEN, A AND B SHALL CLOSE WITH 1,000 FT. MINIMUM DIFFERENTIAL, BUT BEFORE 15,000 FT.
